1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Zero Balance Fund website at https://zerobalancefund.org("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

2. About Zero Balance Fund

Zero Balance Fund is currently pending 501(c)(3) approval. We are not yet accepting donations or applications. By joining our waitlist, you agree to be notified when our programs officially launch. Once approved and launched, Zero Balance Fund will connect donors with borrowers and disburse funds directly to loan servicers on behalf of approved applicants.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to create an account, make a donation, or submit an application for assistance. By using our services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to update it as needed.

5. Donations

• All donations are voluntary and processed securely through Stripe.
• Donations are generally non-refundable once processed, except where required by law.
• Zero Balance Fund is currently pending 501(c)(3) approval and is not yet accepting donations. Once approved and launched, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Consult your tax advisor for details.
• Donations are made to Zero Balance Fund's general charitable fund. Donors do not select individual recipients. Award decisions are made by an independent review committee using objective, needs-based criteria.
• Recurring donations may be canceled at any time through your account dashboard.

6. Applications for Assistance

• Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or funding.
• Applicants must provide truthful and accurate information. Providing false information may result in denial or reversal of assistance and potential legal action.
• Zero Balance Fund reserves the right to approve, deny, or prioritize applications at its sole discretion based on available funds and demonstrated need.
• Funds are disbursed directly to loan servicers. We do not send money directly to applicants.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site
• Submit fraudulent applications or donations
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Site without permission

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Zero Balance Fund or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Zero Balance Fund does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Site or that the Site will be error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zero Balance Fund, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zero Balance Fund and its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
